Birtipop fashion and style

Kangol Bucket Hats: This particular style of hat became popular during the late 80's 'Madchester' era. They were specifically worn by Artists such as: Elton John, LL Cool J and the Gallagher brothers. Thanks to Oasis and The Stone Roses it stuck around as a Britpop staple. In 2016, the millinery still remains the perfect accessory for any festival fanatic. We can use this style of Fashion within our Music video to recreate one of the biggest fashion statements during the Britpop era. It will also show our knowledge on the fashion of the genre but also the fact that many Artists wear these styles of clothing during their Music videos. The Lyrics of the song ultimately signify that it is a love song. There are many words, which are repetitively used which therefore create this idea. Words such as ‘You’re’, ‘I’, ‘me’ and ‘my’ suggest a sense of belonging. Also, use of the word 'heart' is another reference to love. The overuse of these different words creates a link to romance. It also integrates the use of Barthes’ code. We know this as enigma is created through the different clues which are given within the song. Within Wonderwall the message portrayed is that Noel Gallagher is in love with someone but has not shown his passion for her yet. We can suggest that the semantic code is used at 1:37 as there is an additional space next to Noel on the row of seats. We can imply as an audience that the additional meaning is his hope for the girl to come and fill the seat next to him. Moreover, we can suggest that the symbolic code is the use of the mirror as it could be used as a symbol in hope that the girl w
