Binary Opposition in Country House by Blur: The most obvious use of binary opposition is shown in the video for Country House as they are either living in the city or the countryside. The first establishing shot we see is a block of flats in the city and the next shot goes to inside a flat where the curtains are abruptly closed. This signifies both isolation and entrapment, suggesting the city is not all it is made out to be. Additionally, the colour of the second and third pictures are very desaturated, again linking in with the idea that the City is not the place to live. The visuals of the video also give great effect on the binary opposition. The symbolic code of the rat is used throughout the video. A rat is shown in a close up at 0.22. This is to represent the exhausting and repetitive lifestyle that the businessman lives. The  Parental Advisory  label  is a warning label first introduced by the   Recording Industry Association of America  (RIAA) in 1985 and later adopted by the  British Phonographic Industry  (BPI) in 2011. It is placed on audio recordings in recognition of excessive profanities or inappropriate references, with the intention of alerting parents of potentially unsuitable material for younger children. After deciding our chosen song it meant that we had to produce research into provisional aadvisory warnings. I have analysed the lyrics the lyrics our song '400 lux' and have found that there is no explicit language featuring in the song so we do not have t provide the label in production of the music video and digipak. 

The name of an artist is a big part of their overall success; if they are called a name which is relevant and current to their target audience then their success is much more likely to occur. In order to come up with a name for our artist, we have to look closely at existing and also past Britpop music artists, particularly Male bands, in order to come up with a good name for our group. They originated as ‘The Rain’ then Noel told Liam to let him join the band. Noel was a roadie for Inspiral Carpets and they had a gig at the Oasis Leisure Centre in Swindon.  Brother Liam, who had come along to the gig, was taken with the name "Oasis", and he suggested to Noel that it would make a good name for them to set up their own band, which at the time was called The Rain.

Kangol Bucket Hats: This particular style of hat became popular during the late 80's 'Madchester' era. They were specifically worn by Artists such as: Elton John, LL Cool J and the Gallagher brothers. Thanks to Oasis and The Stone Roses it stuck around as a Britpop staple. In 2016, the millinery still remains the perfect accessory for any festival fanatic. We can use this style of Fashion within our Music video to recreate one of the biggest fashion statements during the Britpop era. It will also show our knowledge on the fashion of the genre but also the fact that many Artists wear these styles of clothing during their Music videos. Many fishermen used to wear Bucket hats to protect from the rain whilst fishing. Many fans of the Britpop genre started to wear these in Manchester, to protect them from the rain during festivals and concerts. In the 1990's Liam was considered the king of rock n roll with his brother Noel, they were represented as very stylish individuals who were known for their extravagant outfits and constant arguments with each other. represented as the more childish Artist out of the two. This was because he was always getting in trouble within the media for something he had said or done. However, it is undeniable that the music that they produced is defined as some of the best to come from the UK. Oasis came to fame around 1991. The Lyrics of the song ultimately signify that it is a love song. There are many words, which are repetitively used which therefore create this idea. Words such as ‘You’re’, ‘I’, ‘me’ and ‘my’ suggest a sense of belonging. Also, use of the word 'heart' is another reference to love. The overuse of these different words creates a link to romance. It also integrates the use of Barthes’ code. We know this as enigma is created through the different clues which are given within the song. Within Wonderwall the message portrayed is that Noel Gallagher is in love with someone but has not shown his passion for her yet. We can suggest that the semantic code is used at 1:37 as there is an additional space next to Noel on the row of seats. We can imply as an audience that the additional meaning is his hope for the girl to come and fill the seat next to him.
