Target Audience Identification

The target audience of Britpop is highly varied from people in their teenage years 16- early 20's and then people who were born during the birth of Britpop music (35-45 year old). Britpop music is such a highly varied age group that it is hard to identify as there has been a revival of the music during the last decade where many people have started to listen to it again. This is mainly due to The Stone Roses tour and also Liam Gallagher's new tour and album, with more music coming from Noel Gallagher in the foreseeable future. Within Britpop music there is no specific Gender that the music is aimed at but the predominant sex which listen to their style of music is males, this is ultimately down to the fact that all the bands that are featured in the industry are all males. Full Analysis of Wonderwall music video

This is a performance based video. This is clear because all the band members are a part of this video and there are some close ups of the artists, however, there is no audience involved in this video. The video begins with a shot of a pretty empty room, the room is in black and white and this immediately creates a relaxed and serene tone. Throughout the video different iconography is used, for example; guitars, drums etc. these particular props are often associated with this genre. They commonly appear within indie music videos and are therefore stereotypically anchored to this type of music and the type of people that make this type of music. The close ups are used as according to Andrew Goodwin's theory, the label record demand close ups. Editing Feedback- session 5

The feedback that we gathered from session 4 we changed due to not agreeing  on it as a group to help benefit us in the long term. This target however will be prioritised in further  sessions as we will include more shots of the band members on their own but also together as a group. The reason for this prioritisation was so that we could concentrate on the smaller aspects such as this in the last session where we make the smaller changes. Moreover, the improvements which we still need to make are to sort the shots to make them shorter and closer together. We are doing this to create flash shots but also there is many shots which display a black screen in between each other which we need to change so the shots flow smoothly and make it more professional.
