This is a performance based video. This is clear because all the band members are a part of this video and there are some close ups of the artists, however, there is no audience involved in this video. The video begins with a shot of a pretty empty room, the room is in black and white and this immediately creates a relaxed and serene tone. Throughout the video different iconography is used, for example; guitars, drums etc. these particular props are often associated with this genre. They commonly appear within indie music videos and are therefore stereotypically anchored to this type of music and the type of people that make this type of music. The close ups are used as according to Andrew Goodwin's theory, the label record demand close ups. The camerawork is very simple and doesn't use any fancy camera shots or angles and this is because of the fact it links into the simple narrative of the video.
