Editing Log- Session 2

Throughout this editing session Jack and I could not attend due to work commitments but Luke continued with the feedback that we were given by our main audience to make sure we were following their advice. Luke started this by piecing the start of the music video in time with the lyrics due to it needing lots of work. He also added in many different shots in between these of the mysterious girl which was Lucy Carter aswell as more shots of Luke himself. We used the blade tool to dissect the shots of what we needed and what we didn't so that any of the unnecessary clips. We also trimmed down the clips to gather the correct parts accurately as well as removing diegetic sound of the surrounding during the original clips which we used.

Furthermore, Luke used many different clips of himself from different angles to create a thorough representation of the genre when recording> We also did this when we were editing the sections which Lucy was used in which helped to include Goodwins theory of the relation of lyrics and visuals as our main goal was to create enigma and also convey the idea that Noel Gallagher is singing about his love for the girl in the video. With the use of the blade tool it helped to keep continuity during the different shots and showing a variety of angles of Lucy walking but not revealing her true identity.

Through the feedback I was given by Luke, i believe we have made a large amount of progress and have made significant changes which have allowed us to construct the music video for the start up to the chorus with the use of different shot types and editing techniques. We used the advice and feedback given to us by our audience after the first editing session, i believe that by using many different angles and making the lip syncing more in time we can make the video even better.
